Echoes of Ubuntu

For the Ugandan Batwa people, the life expectancy is just 28 years.

Let us rewrite that story TOGETHER

For the Batwa people of Uganda, the average life expectancy is just 28 years. This is not a statistic from the distant past—it is a stark reality today. Displaced from their ancestral forest lands without support or compensation, many Batwa families now face extreme poverty, lacking access to clean water, healthcare, and education. Generations are growing up without the basic tools needed to survive, let alone thrive.

But this is not where their story has to end

Join us in standing with the Batwa. Together, we can make a difference because Humanity Echoes in Us All.
28 years life expectancy
10% go to school
5 miles to nearest water now
300+ lives saved
$1800 for 1 water facility
2% reach high school
With compassion, action, and collective commitment, we can help rewrite the narrative. Access to clean water can save lives. Education can open doors to opportunity. Healthcare can restore dignity.Together, we can bring hope, justice, and a future to a community that has been marginalized for far too long.

Why Echoes of Ubuntu Exists

Echoes of Ubuntu was born from a place of deep connection, compassion, and responsibility.

In May, a group of travel professionals journeyed to Uganda and spent time with the Batwa people, a proud Indigenous community rooted in the forests of southwestern Uganda. We came expecting to learn about a destination, Instead, we were profoundly moved by the strength, generosity, and quiet resilience of the Batwa people in the face of overwhelming hardship.
That experience changed us.
Led by Amarjit Keshav, who was born in Uganda and carries a deep personal connection to the country, Echoes of Ubuntu was created to walk alongside marginalized communities offering support that is respectful, collaborative, and human centered.

Our mission begins with the basics: clean water, education, and dignity.

One well may seem like a small beginning, but for a village, it can mean life itself.

Let’s rewrite this story—together.
